The simply run 5CL Caravan Club site, is located just off the main A52 and has easy access onto the site itself. The field is flat making pitching easy and awnings can be used. This small site is a quiet and idyllic site, ideal for those wanting some 'time out'. Its rural setting means wildlife is at a premium and includes our resident Wood peckers and Kingfishers, Moor Hens and Ducks - complete with their ducklings in the Spring time.

The fishery is right next door, not a stones throw away (that would please the fishermen if you did!). Each lake is different, so every one will find a peg suitable for them, whether it's a spot of pleasure fishing you're after, a carp day or match fishing. Our angling coaches are readily available, so even those who have never tried their hand at fishing can have a go - even the tackle can be provided, so there's no excuse!

But if its not fishing you're interested in then may be its food and drink. Very locally,including one within a minutes walking distance, there are numerous excellent pubs and restaurants which cover for all tastes and pockets, just ask us when you are on site for more information - we will be able to point you in the right direction! If other attractions are on the cards again locally and further afield, there are many places of interest. These include BELVOIR CASTLE, which is less than two miles away. They host many events, from music festivals to jousting to Game Fairs. Other attractions include the WILD FLOWER FARM at Langar, a place where you can leisurely browse the wild plants for sale and have a coffee and cake, after having ambled around their acres of land where a huge assortment of colourful plants are grown.

Sports venues

THE WATER SPORTS CENTRE at Holme Pierrepont again hosts many events, including Dragon Boats and canoeing.TWINLAKES a children's Adventure Park is at Melton Mowbray and is a great day out for all the family. Many sporting venues are also local, these include NOTTS COUNTY and FOREST football clubs, so during the season there's usually at least one match each week for you to watch if you're a football fanatic! If cricket is more your scene then TRENT BRIDGE CRICKET GROUND, home to Notts Cricket Club,is easily accessible and hosts many cricketing events. For shopping, Bottesford and Bingham (which has a market each Thursday) are each only a couple of miles away. For bigger shopping centres try Grantham, Melton Mowbray or Nottingham and there are also other retail areas too,if thats what you're looking for.Don't hesitate to ask us, we'll give you plenty of local information.

For pitch availability and prices, please contact us, we'll be ready to help.Pitches can be booked without the need to purchase fishing tickets, but these are available on a day basis should you want to use that facility.Though no electrical hook ups are available at present, they are planned shortly - so please enquire about this if this is important to you. Please note that pets are not allowed on site.We do welcome children, though for everyones comfort they need to be under strict supervision, due to the nature of the sport we home but particularly in view of the deep water which is on the complex. We look forward to seeing you and you can be assured a friendly welcome, though generally we will keep ourselves at a distance so you can enjoy your time, but we are always available to help if need be- just ask.
